To begin making the Malai Chickpea Kebab Recipe first boil the chickpeas, in a pressure cook for 4 whistles

Let the pressure release naturally and then strain the water from the chickpeas

Add the cooked chickpeas to a blender with the onions, green chilli, garlic, coriander leaves, salt and lemon juice

Blend everything to a smooth paste

Remove the blended mixture into a big bowl and check for seasoning if required

Then add the oats to the bowl and bind the mixture together

Heat a paniyaram pan, add oil and then scoop a tablespoon of the chickpea and oats mixture into each cavity and shallow fry till it is brown on either side
