Quick & Easy Idli Upma Recipe With Figaro Olive Oil
A gluten free South Indian Recipes recipe with idli - crumbled, pearl onions (sambar onions) - finely chopped (or 1 large onion), green chillies - finely chopped. Ready in 35 min, serves 4.

To begin making the Idli Upma Recipe, heat a teaspoon of Figaro Pure Olive Oil in a heavy bottomed pan on medium-low heat, add in the mustard seeds and allow it to crackle for a few seconds
idli - crumbled(10)mustard seeds(1/2 teaspoon)figaro pure olive oil(1 tablespoon) - 2
Then add in the half urad dal and allow it to roast and turn a light brown in color
white urad dal (split)(1 teaspoon) - 3
Once the dal is roasted we will add in the chopped onions, then the grated ginger, green chillies and curry leaves
pearl onions (sambar onions) - finely chopped (or 1 large onion)(10)green chillies - finely chopped(3)inch ginger - grated(1)curry leaves - finely chopped(6)sprig coriander (dhania) leaves - finely chopped(2) - 4
Saute on medium heat until the onions are soft
pearl onions (sambar onions) - finely chopped (or 1 large onion)(10) - 5
Once soft we will add in the turmeric powder and the crumbled idlis and some salt to taste
idli - crumbled(10)turmeric powder (haldi)(1/2 teaspoon)salt - to taste - 6
Stir it until well combined

Finally stir in the coriander leaves, check the salt and spices and adjust to taste accordingly
curry leaves - finely chopped(6)sprig coriander (dhania) leaves - finely chopped(2)salt - to taste - 8
Once done, turn off the heat and serve

Serve the delicious Idli Upma along with Tomato Onion Chutney Recipe - Thakkali Vengayam Chutney and a hot cup of coffee makes the breakfast complete
