To make dates tamarind chutney, first soak the tamarind in water for 1 hour

Keep the filtered and tamarind water separately

Soak jaggery in water for 1 hour in another bowl

Break it with the help of a fork and drain it and drain it in a bowl

In a blender add dates, some water and grind it to a paste

Heat a pan and add tamarind water and let it boil

After boiling, add jaggery, dates paste, salt and mix well

If you want the sauce thin, then you can add some more water to it

Now heat some oil in another pan

Add dry red chilli, five spices immediately and let it cook for 10 seconds

Put this tempering in the chutney, turn off the gas and allow it to cool

Serve dates tamarind chutney with onion pakoras and masala tea on rainy days
