Dal Kabila Recipe - Diabetic Urad Dal Tadka

To begin making Dal Kabila Recipe first wash urad dal and soak it for 2 hours
white urad dal (split)(1 cup) - 2
Prep all the ingredients

Add ghee into the pressure cooker and place over medium heat
ghee(1 teaspoon)ghee(1 tablespoon) - 4
Add in the dry red chillies, cinnamon stick, cloves and saute until you can smell the aromas of the spices coming through
inch cinnamon stick(1)cloves (laung)(3)dry red chillies(3)cloves garlic - finely chopped(3)green chilli - slit(1)red chilli powder(1/4 teaspoon) - 5
Add Onions and slit green chillies and saute until the onions soften and change colour
dry red chillies(3)onion - finely chopped(1)green chilli - slit(1)red chilli powder(1/4 teaspoon) - 6
Stir in the tomatoes, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and saute
tomato - finely chopped(1)green chilli - slit(1)red chilli powder(1/4 teaspoon)coriander powder (dhania)(1 teaspoon)turmeric powder (haldi)(1/4 teaspoon)garam masala powder(1/4 teaspoon)sprig coriander (dhania) leaves - chopped(3) - 7
Finally add the split urad dal, salt along with 3 cups of water and cook for 5 to 6 whistles (about 15 minutes)

Once done, turn off the heat and allow the pressure to release naturally

Once the pressure has released, check the salt and adjust according to taste

Transfer the Dal Kabila/ Urad Dal Tadka to a serving bowl

The final step is the tadka

Heat the ghee in a pan over medium heat; add the cumin seeds, crushed black pepper and sauce for a few seconds until the cumin seeds crackle

Spoon the takda over the Dal Kabila and serve hot
