Chickpea Tikka Masala Recipe

To begin making the Chickpea Tikka Masala, we will soak the chickpeas in water overnight
kabuli chana (white chickpeas) - soaked overnight in water(1 cup)garam masala powder(2 tablespoon) - 2
Pressure cook the chickpeas with water for about 30 minutes till the chickpeas are cooked
kabuli chana (white chickpeas) - soaked overnight in water(1 cup) - 3
Heat a kadai with oil, add onions, garlic and ginger and saute until it softens and becomes crispy
onion - chopped(1)inch ginger - chopped(1)cloves garlic - chopped(4) - 4
This will take about 2 minutes

After 2 minutes, add all your spice powders mentioned in the list, saute them well
turmeric powder (haldi)(1/2 teaspoon)red chilli powder(1 tablespoon)cumin powder (jeera)(1 teaspoon)coriander powder (dhania)(1 teaspoon)garam masala powder(2 tablespoon) - 6
Add chopped tomatoes and saute until the tomatoes soften and mash them using the ladle
onion - chopped(1)tomatoes - chopped(2)inch ginger - chopped(1)cloves garlic - chopped(4) - 7
Sprinkle with little salt that will help it cook faster
salt - to taste - 8
Once all the ingredients are combined together, you can add your cooked chickpeas and mix well

Check for salt and at the end add coconut milk and give it a mix
coconut milk(1/2 cup)salt - to taste - 10
Serve the Chickpea Tikka Masala along with steamed rice, jeera pulao or tawa paratha to enjoy your everyday lunch
