Tamarind Chilli Potato Recipe
A vegetarian Indian recipe with potatoes (aloo) - boiled and cubed, onion - chopped, tamarind paste. Ready in 50 min, serves 4.

To begin with the Tamarind Chilli Potato, first lets boil the potatoes and keep them aside
potatoes (aloo) - boiled and cubed(3)tamarind paste(3 tablespoon) - 2
In a pan add some oil and potatoes once the oil is hot
potatoes (aloo) - boiled and cubed(3) - 3
Saute them till they turn into golden brown

Take the potatoes from the pan and keep it aside

In the same pan add some more oil and add carom seeds once the oil is hot

Now add cashew nuts and saute till it becomes golden brown, now add garlic and onions and saute till they are transparent
onion - chopped(1)cloves garlic - chopped(4)cashew nuts - chopped(2 tablespoon) - 7
It is time to add the red chillis and curry leaves leave it for a minute so the spice is induced in the onions
onion - chopped(1)sprig curry leaves(2)coriander (dhania) leaves - chopped(1 tablespoon) - 8
After this add tamarind paste and some sugar, combine the entire mixture and add salt as per your taste

As the tamarind paste cooks well you can add the potatoes and allow it to cook for 2 โ 3 minutes

Put of the flame and add the coriander leaves a last and taste them and add some salt if needed as per your taste
sprig curry leaves(2)salt - to tastecoriander (dhania) leaves - chopped(1 tablespoon) - 11
Your Tamarind Chilli Potato is ready, transfer it to a serving plate and serve them

You can serve the Tamarind Chili Potato as a starter or even as a subji for roti, phulka and naan
