To begin making the Broken Wheat Khichdi With Vegetables recipe, firstly heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan
-/2 broken wheat (dalia/ godumai rava)(1 cup)ghee - as required - 2
Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, bay leaf, curry leaves, dry red chillies and cloves
cloves (laung)(2)bay leaf (tej patta)(1)dry red chilli(2)mustard seeds(1 teaspoon)cumin seeds (jeera)(1/2 teaspoon)curry leaves - roughly torn(6)green chillies - finely chopped(2)red chilli powder(1 teaspoon)coriander (dhania) leaves - few sprigs - 3
Once the mustard seeds splutter, add in the ginger garlic paste and green chillies
ginger - grated(1/2 teaspoon)garlic - minced(1/2 teaspoon)dry red chilli(2)mustard seeds(1 teaspoon)cumin seeds (jeera)(1/2 teaspoon)green chillies - finely chopped(2)green peas (matar)(1/2 cup)red chilli powder(1 teaspoon) - 4
Saute it for a few seconds on low flame

Add in the onions and cook them till they turn translucent

Once it is done add in the peas, carrots and potatoes
green peas (matar)(1/2 cup)carrot (gajjar) - finely chopped(1)potato (aloo) - cubed(1) - 7
Let it cook for about 5 to 8 minutes

After 5 to 8 minutes, add in the tomatoes and the broken wheat

Add in red chilli powder, turmeric powder and the required salt
water - as requireddry red chilli(2)ghee - as requiredred chilli powder(1 teaspoon)turmeric powder (haldi)(1/2 teaspoon)salt - as required - 10
Cook it for 2 minutes and then add the required water
water - as requiredghee - as requiredsalt - as required - 11
Cover it with a lid and cook it till the broken wheat and vegetables are cooked properly

Once it is done, switch off the flame and garnish it with chopped coriander
