Keep asideIn a large mixing bowl, using the electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar together
butter (unsalted) - at room temprature(1/3 cup)brown sugar (demerara sugar)(1 cup)icing sugar - for dusting - 5
Continue till light until fluffy, about 3-4 minutes

Add the egg and yolk and beat till well mixed

Add the red wine and vanilla
red wine(3/4 cup)vanilla extract(1 teaspoon) - 8
Beat for another minute or so

Fold in half the flour mixture
all purpose flour (maida)(1 cup) - 10
When combined, fold the rest in

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted into the center comes out clean
