Kerala Style Chemmeen Moilee Recipe - Prawn Curry

To begin making the Kerala Style Chemmeen Moilee Recipe - Prawn Curry, marinate the shrimps with turmeric powder and lemon juice and keep it aside for at least 15 minutes
shrimps - cleaned and deveined(500 grams)sprig curry leaves(1)turmeric powder (haldi)(1 teaspoon)lemon juice(1) - 2
Heat a kadai with oil, add cinnamon, cardamom pods, pepper corns and allow it to sizzle
inch cinnamon stick (dalchini)(1)cardamom (elaichi) pods/seeds(1) - 3
Add whole shallots and saute until they turn slightly brown
whole black peppercorns(1 teaspoon) - 4
Once done add chopped ginger, garlic and saute until they soften
tomato - chopped(1)inch ginger(1)cloves garlic(4) - 5
Now add the tomatoes and salt to taste
tomato - chopped(1)salt - to taste - 6
Do not mash them completely

Cook till the tomatoes just turn soft
tomato - chopped(1) - 8
Once done add coconut milk along with turmeric powder and salt and bring it to a boil
coconut milk(1 cup)turmeric powder (haldi)(1 teaspoon)salt - to tastecoconut oil - for cooking - 9
Stir in the sugar and slowly drop in the shrimps and cook in a medium heat for about 20 minutes till the shrimp are cooked
shrimps - cleaned and deveined(500 grams)sugar(1 teaspoon) - 10
Once done turn off the heat and transfer the Kerala Style Chemmeen Moilee to a serving bowl and serve hot
