To prepare Karwar Style Dali Thoy Recipe (Toor dal Curry), rinse toor dal in water and then pressure cook with 1 cup water and turmeric powder for about 2 whistles
arhar dal (split toor dal)(1 cup)turmeric powder (haldi)(1/2 teaspoon)sprig curry leaves(1) - 2
turn off the flame an allow the pressure to release naturally

In a pan heat ghee on medium flame
ghee(1/2 tablespoon) - 4
Add mustard seeds and let it splutter
mustard seeds(1 teaspoon) - 5
Then add dried red chilies, hing, and curry leaves
sprig curry leaves(1)coriander (dhania) leaves - few - 6
Saute till curry leaves splutter and turn off the heat

Mash the cooked dal well, add salt to taste
salt - to taste - 8
Add the tempering and fresh coriander leaves
