To begin making the Goan Moolyacho Ross recipe, cut the peeled radish into 1 and 1/2 inch long finger shaped pieces
mooli/ mullangi (radish) - peeled(2) - 2
Add dal, radish and chopped onion along with 1 cup water in pressure cooker and pressure cook till 4 whistles
onion - finely chopped(1/2) - 3
Grind grated coconut, dry red chilies, coriander seeds, tamarind and turmeric powder by adding 1/2 cup water into a thin gravy using a blender
tablespoons fresh coconut - grated(6)coriander (dhania) seeds(1 teaspoon)tamarind - lemon sizedjaggery - grated(1/2 teaspoon) - 4
Mix the coconut gravy with the dal in pressure cooker
tablespoons fresh coconut - grated(6) - 5
Add grated jaggery and mix well
tablespoons fresh coconut - grated(6)jaggery - grated(1/2 teaspoon) - 6
Simmer the gravy for 10 minutes

Add salt to taste, mix and serve hot
