Giant Skillet Cookie Recipe

To begin making the Giant Skillet Cookie recipe, preheat oven to 200 C degrees

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside
all purpose flour (maida)(2 cups)baking soda(1 teaspoon)salt(1/2 teaspoon) - 3
In the bowl, cream butter and sugars until mixture is light and fluffy, about 2 minutes
butter (unsalted) - softened(3/4 cup)sugar(1/2 cup)brown sugar (demerara sugar) - light brown(3/4 cup) - 4
Add egg and vanilla; mix until they are fully incorporated
teaspoons vanilla extract(2) - 5
Add flour mixture, and beat until just combined
all purpose flour (maida)(2 cups) - 6
Stir in chocolate chips
chocolate chips - semi sweet (as required) - 7
Add egg and vanilla; mix until they are fully incorporated
teaspoons vanilla extract(2) - 8
Add flour mixture, and beat until just combined

Stir in chocolate chips

Transfer dough to a 10-inch ovenproof skillet, and press to flatten, covering bottom of pan

Bake until edges are brown and top is golden, 25 to 30 minutes

Don't overbake; it will continue to cook a few minutes out of the oven
