    To begin making the Masoor Moong Phali Ki Dal Recipe, first prep all the ingredients and keep them ready

    masoor dal (whole)(3/4 cup)

    Heat oil in the pressure cooker, add the ginger, onion and saute until the onions soften

    Add the tomato, chilli, bay leaf, masoor dal, peanuts, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt to taste

    Add 2-1/2 cups of water and pressure cook for 2 whistles

    After the couple of whistles, turn the heat to low and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes

    Turn off the heat and allow the pressure to release naturally

    Heat ghee in a tadka pan for seasoning; add the cumin seeds, cinnamon and allow the flavors to infuse for a few seconds
