Chow Chow Sambar Recipe - Chow-Chow Sambar

To make chow chow sambar, first put 2 cups water, turmeric powder, salt along with lentils in a pressure cooker and cook till 2 years come
chow chow - chop(2 cups)grams tamarind - soaked in 1 water(30 cup)sambar powder(1 tablespoon)turmeric powder(1/4 teaspoon)salt - as per taste - 2
After the lentils are cooked, mash the lentils well and keep them aside

Heat the oil in a pan

Add onions and cook till they become soft
onion - thinly sliced(1) - 5
Now add tomatoes and chow chow
chow chow - chop(2 cups)tomatoes - chopped(2) - 6
Cook until 3/4 of the chow is cooked
chow chow - chop(2 cups) - 7
Bitch kept shaking in between

Now add tamarind water, sambar powder, salt and cook it until the chow is cooked well
chow chow - chop(2 cups)grams tamarind - soaked in 1 water(30 cup)sambar powder(1 tablespoon)turmeric powder(1/4 teaspoon)salt - as per taste - 9
Now add dal, green coriander and cook for 2 to 3 minutes
sprigs of coriander - chopped(4) - 10
Turn off the gas

Now heat sesame oil in a tempering pan
sesame oil - or any oil(1 teaspoon) - 12
Add the mustard seeds, dry red chilies and cook for 15 seconds
mustard(1 teaspoon)red chili(1) - 13
Now add asafoetida, curry leaves and turn off the gas after 10 seconds
asafoetida(1/4 teaspoon)sprig curry leaves(1) - 14
Add this tempering to the sambar and mix
sambar powder(1 tablespoon) - 15
Serve Chow Chow Sambar with beans and cabbage with porridge and rice for dinner
