    Move it to the blender

    Add meat masala along with fennel and black pepper and make a fine powder

    In a blender, coarsely blend together shallots, ginger and garlic

    Heat oil in a pan

    (Preferably cook in an earthenware for that extra flavour and aroma) Add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter

    Once they splutter, add the shallot-ginger-garlic mix in and stir well

    Tear the curry leaves and add them in the pan

    Stir and cook well on medium heat till the onions turn translucent
